Customized NaJu SoBan made for coffee table with Walnut wood

• SoBan is a Korean traditional portable table sized to fit a single person in Joseon era. The traditional custom of sitting on the floor while meals were delivered from the kitchen to individual rooms required portable tables that could easily be carried by one person.

• NaJu SoBan is one of three distinctive SoBan-making styles based in NaJu in Jeollanam-do Province. NaJu Soban is defined by its simplicity while other two types of SoBans (from TongYeong & HaeJu) are distinguished by splendid mother-of-pearl decoration and flamboyant carvings.
